Sexystrange queer realness vibrates vibrance β€” seeking, duplicating, disrupting unhinged family interested fun. We made this performance over the course of six rehearsals. Each cast member directed one of the first five rehearsals, and we collectively decided on a plan for the performance during our sixth rehearsal.

Phase Change was a performance created by Robin Ekeya, Leland Hull, Hannah Krafcik, and Emily Jones during our time in the Residency at New Expressive Works from September 2023-February 2024. You can watch the performance in it’s entirety here. We came to this residency with curiosities: How do we work as a coequal quartet? How do we tend to one another's differences and intersections during this process? How do we develop this traditionally experiential form into a proscenium performance?
